Terrain and map

Tallinn Zoo is composed of two types of terrain: city and forest. The city terrain is composed of the zoo visiting area with animal cages and different houses. Additionally there are some park areas on the city terrain. The forest terrain is composed of pine and spruce forest with good runnability. There are some green areas where runnability is slightly poorer. The terrain has many rocks and only the biggest rocks have been mapped. The road network is adequate. Height differences are small.

Hazards on the terrain: there is an adventure course in the competition area. Most of the attractions are located higher on the trees, but there are constructions also at lower altitudes.

Please be careful! There are many controls on the terrain, check the identification number! Be aware of the specific ISOM forbidden and allowed symbols for the sprint map

Size of the map is A4, scale 1:5000, contour interval 2m. Last update of map in 2015. The map is printed on waterproof paper.

O-week final

Friday, August 7 - O-Week Final 1st day - Middle distance, WRE

Saturday, August 8 - O-Week Final 2nd day - Long distance, 100 CP Run

Time and place

Nelijärve

Terrain and map

The terrain is divided into two entirely different parts. Nelijärve hills located north of Jäni river, in fact there are eskers with steep hillsides and lakes and marshes located in the depreciations. Between and around the eskers there are many land forms, mostly round or oval depreciations and hills. The runnability is mostly poor and in many areas very poor due to a large number of fallen spruce trees. The fallen trees have been mapped well with dark green. The network of roads and paths is relatively sparse.

Map size A3, scale 1:10 000, h=m, map from 2014 The map is printed on waterproof paper.
